METEL, an acronym for Materiale Elettrico Telematico was founded in 1993 to provide a standardization of procedures for the creation and administration of documents related to the electrical supply chain order cycle. Its stakeholders are the three associations representing Agents, Producers and Wholesalers

ETIM

Metel is the Italian representative of ETIM International. ETIM is a product classification based on groups and classes. MDP contains all the relevant information and makes it available through Metel’s channels or in BMEcat files

The Technical Designation for Cables is a unique 16 character coding format that lists all product codes of major low voltage cable manufacturers who’ve adopted the standard CEI nomenclature. It’s based on an agreement between ANIE and FME

ElectroGoal is a combination of services specifically formulated for sales representatives that enables them to access the principals’ price lists, technical sheets and information available to wholesalers, all through a single interface

MyMetel is the EDI to Non-EDI solution: It converts an EDI order into an e-mail one. This email (PDF and/or XML) can be processed on the MyMetel platform, creating the order confirmation. Subsequently, MyMetel even transforms the manufacturer’s reply into an EDI file for the wholesaler

MYMETEL FOR AGENTS: The wholesaler send the order to the agency, that is an active part of the order’s cycle; through mymetel’s platform, the agent manages the order, and can modify it before sending it to the producer

This service quickly converts each vectorial PDF document (order, order confirmation, despatch note, invoice) into ‘Standard Metel’, importing it into the user’s ERP system or for sharing it just as easily via EDI

SAP​.​Con.Me.​ presents the RFC feature of SAP for the management of orders as a web service. the logic of validation and execution remains on SAP:

Owned by Metel, it’s a multi-format document conversion platform. It’s modular and customisable, under complete licensing in CLOUD, with application maintenance tailored to customer needs. It integrates most widespread systems, including SAP (I-Doc) and Baan. BIOM can interact with various application environments based on defined objectives (ftp, sftp, https, AS2, e-mail and WEB Services SOAP). It also integrates various platforms such as that of the Italian Public Administration (SDI, interchange system), standards from other supply chains, including EURITMO, EDIEL, ENEL, EANCOM, Indra Electronet, and logistics platforms (Geodis and Bartolini), with the exchange of delivery instructions and tracking

CLOUDEDI

This IN CLOUD EDI service is owned by Metel and provides private data transfer in all international EDI standards (e.g. ANSI X12), for any file type, on every operating system (OS-400, UNIX, LINUX, WINDOWS, OS X). The documents in Metel's format (order, order confirmation, despatch note, invoice) are always accompanied by their PDF version, which can be opened and printed directly from the platform. Metel CloudEDI is connected to all international EDI platforms through VAN service (GXS, INTESA, Transalis, Easylink, Sterling, Covisint, Allegro and others). Metel CloudEDI can be used in an on-line web mode or remotely with the Metel client, and in the most widespread protocols like https and As2

It is possible to send orders - automatically - to all the companies enabled to their reception. The receiver gets them in an electronic format, without having to re digit data; they are already all set to become a part of the company workflow

From 2017, private companies in Italy will be able to gain tax breaks and subsidies by endorsing electronic invoice exchange using SDI (Tax EDI Government service), which is the same format used by the Public Administration. Metel’s clients can immediately take advantage of this opportunity using Metel’s EDI system
