The Metel Data Pool is a comprehensive and downloadable database of more than 3.7 million catalogued products. Using the ETIM International classification, it’s easy to enrich the basic information for sales, purchasing, and logistics, and distribute product information in various formats.

Price lists' distribution

Once a company has generated its own product price list in the Metel standard, it can distribute it to customers through the MDP portal. The information is always up to date and available.

Price lists' generation

It is a system for generating, certifying, and publishing product price lists in the Metel standard. It is a web app that allows users to create a Metel price list starting from an EXCEL or CSV format.

ELECTROCOD: PRODUCT’S CLASSIFICATION

A web app for all companies in all sectors.

ETIM

It is an international merchandise classification composed of groups and classes (2 levels). For each class, it includes a certain number of technical characteristics that can be enhanced with free text or with tabular values provided by the standard itself. MDP contains ETIM information and makes it available through Metel channels or within a BMEcat file. Metel is on the board of ETIM International for the electrical and lighting sector.

It includes the article codes of major low-voltage cable manufacturers who have adopted a standard nomenclature (CEI). Born from an agreement between ANIE and FME, it associates manufacturers' article codes with a unique code expressed in 16 characters: the CEI code of the cable, the color (RAL), the type of packaging (coil or reel), and the quantity in the packaging.

ElectroGoal is a combination of services specifically formulated for sales representatives that enables them to access the principals’ price lists, technical sheets and information available to wholesalers, all through a single interface. With MyMetel, the agent manages the wholesaler's order directly via the web or via EDI.

METEL connects EDI with non-EDI, translating an EDI order into an email that will contain the order (PDF and/or XML) and can be processed on the MyMetel web platform, directly creating the order confirmation. MyMetel even transforms the manufacturer's reply into an EDI file for the wholesaler, thus fitting into a consolidated process.

The wholesaler sends the order to the agency, which is an active part of the order cycle and manages it, modifies it if necessary, and forwards it to the receiving manufacturer through this platform.

The Logistic Collaborative Platform

Advantages

  • No waiting for the Carriers
  • Integrated with CloudEDI
  • Digitized deliveries and documents

Allows the management of the digital preservation process in all its stages, ensuring easy and fast document retrieval. Enables the downloading of preservation batches. Complies with legal regulations for all necessary procedures related to digital preservation. Utilizes servers with suitable security and confidentiality standards. Optimizes workflows, especially for those who have invested with Metel for the entire EDI document cycle: Order, Order Confirmation, Despatch Advice, and Invoice.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the exchange of data between information systems in a defined format, requiring human intervention only in exceptional cases. Originally, specialized networks called Value Added Networks (VANs) were used for EDI and are still widely used due to their high level of security and traceability they provide. Additionally, other transmission methods have been added, such as FTP, HTTP, AS2, and, under certain conditions, email.
